Get Involved: Join us for the 2024 Seward Community Weed Pull

by | June 7, 2024

Looking for a unique way to celebrate Solstice (and get a free t-shirt)? Roll up your sleeves and join us for the much anticipated annual Seward Community Weed Pull! We’re shifting venues this year to the City of Seward’s Forest Acres Campground, where we’ll hand-pull invasive chokecherry (a.k.a. mayday or European bird cherry) saplings and seedlings. Part of a larger effort to remove invasive chokecherry trees from public and private properties in Seward, plucking these baby trees will help provide Seward’s native plants and animals the space they need to thrive.

When: Friday, June 21st, 10am-2pm

Questions? Contact Christina Kriedeman at 907-422-0542.

We hope to see you there!
