KP-CISMA Spring Workshop Recordings Now Available

by | May 3, 2021

Thank you to those who organized, presented and participated in the 2021 Kenai Peninsula Cooperative Invasive Species Management Area Spring Workshop April 13th & 14th!

We had over 40 people join us for presentations and videos that addressed terrestrial, freshwater and marine invasive species challenges and identification on the Kenai Peninsula. Resources on pesticide application were provided and DEC-licensed applicators had an opportunity to earn Continuing Education Units (CEUs) towards renewing their license.

This virtual event was held 3 hours each day over Zoom, and the workshop recordings are available on our KP-CISMA YouTube channel here. Check out the KP-CISMA Workshop Agenda to see the content that was tailored for invasive species field technicians and land managers.

Furthermore, several new technical videos were produced by Casey Greenstein of Antheia Environmental, LLC – thank you Casey! These videos plus others that we thought most useful for invasive species professionals are available on our KP-CISMA YouTube channel here. Check out the different playlists related to training, terrestrial and aquatic plant identification, and herbicide use.

Have ideas about what to include in our next workshop? Contact the KP-CISMA to let us know – we’d like your feedback!

The KP-CISMA spring workshop provides resources and training for early detection and rapid response of invasive species.
